Research/Professional Interests:

I am a Post-Doctoral Research Associate working with Jay Brunner and Vince Jones. My major research interests are to develop sustainable pest management strategies based on solid understandings of agroecosystem ecology and insect behavior. I am especially intrigued in the optimization of non-chemical pest management strategies and their integration into chemical pest management programs. My current research focuses on the behavioral management of the codling moth through a better understanding of the behavioral mechanisms behind sex pheromone disruption. However, I have also had experience researching the optimization of biological control in agroecosystems ranging from orchard crops, invasive weeds, and stored product environments.

Education:

  • PhD in Entomology, Kansas State University 2005
  • MS in Entomology, Montana State University 1999
  • BA in Environmental Studies, University of California
