Projects:

Keith is currently working with the Pest Management Transition Project (PMTP) to coordinate education efforts that will help the Washington apple industry with the process of adopting new, OP-alternative Integrated Pest Management (IPM) technologies.

Research/Professional Interest:

  • Research and education pertaining to the use of organophosphate-replacement insecticides in an integrated pest management system.
  • Optimizing insecticide application timing through the use of insect degree-day models to better target susceptible life stages.
  • Effects of insecticide inputs on secondary pests and beneficial insects in the orchard ecosystem.
  • Proactive planning for resistance management with new insecticides.

  • B.A. English/Business Washington State University
