... to the Newly Revised Cullage Assessment & Education Program website. The purpose of this site is to provide the public and tree fruit industry with information related to damage and disorders encountered during the cullage assessment phase of the postharvest process. There are also useful materials for people involved with identificatin of fruit damage in the orchard. Available materials include visual identification guides, instructions for sampling in the orchard and packinghouse, as well as, quarantine pest and export workplan information.To the left are links to additional sources of information that should be helpful for people working in or interested in the tree fruit industry.

Training Events

Each year prior to harvest a series of training workshops are held for cherry packing, apricot quarentine pest detection, and Taiwan apple export workplan certification. For more information about training please visit the Training Events link to the left, or contact your regional commodity inspections office (i.e., WSDA, USDA, ISDA, OSDA, or CDA).

EU changes AZM MRL

In September 2008 the EU lowered the MRL for azinphos-methyl (AZM) from 0.5 to 0.05ppm. The US has recieved assurances from the UK that the new limit only applies to the 2009 crop. For more information contact the NHC or visit their website.
