2007 Crop Season

Apple Exports to Taiwan: Orchard & Bin Sampling Protocols

Training is mandatory for people that do not have a pest consultant's license or
commercial applicator's license. Without those licenses people must attend
training to perform orchard or field bin sampling. Those who attended training last summer (2006) do not have to attend, but refresher attendance is strongly advised by NHC and APHIS. Certified cull cutters may perform field bin sampling if informed of bin sampling protocols.

 

Sessions are scheduled for late July to early August. Classes are FREE, but pre-registration is strongly recommended due to space limitations. Please send an email or fax (509) 662-8714 to Wendy Jones at least 2 days prior to your desired session date. For more information call (509) 663-8181 or (509) 679-3867. Please include company or facility name, number of participants, which session, and if you will have an interpreter or require one, along with YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION in case of changes.

Orchard sampling training does not replace cull cutter certification.

*Cull Cutter Ceritifiaction will be available at these locations/ times - please contact me for information.
Training sessions for Idaho and/or Oregon personnel will be organized on an as-needed basis.  Please contact me for arrangements.

If you missed going to one of the above training sessions but still need Orchard Sampling Training contact me and I will try to accommodate you. If you only need Cull Cutter Certification contact your local inspector for on-site training. (A minimum of 2 cull cutters are required per facility.)

 

Apple Cull Cutter Certification - Codling Moth Detection

Annual re-certification of cull cutters is requested by USDA but not mandatory.
